Sm. 8vo (133x103mm), cont. green full calf (prize binding, dec. gilt border to boards and crest of High School, Bishop Stortford, to front board), spine with raised bands and contrasting red leather title piece, gilt tooling to compartments, edges of boards and inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, aeg. A handsome binding, lightly rubbed/scuffed to extremities. Prize bookplate dated 1863. Bookseller's small ticket to rear pastedown (Stanford, Charing Cross, London). Fine.
