Box set, includes a book and two long-playing records (33 r.p.m.), which feature the songs and calls of 194 species. Box label, record sleeves and bookjacket designs by Robert Gillmor. A third of the recordings are by the recording pioneer Ludwig Koch, many by Eric Simms in collaboration with the BBC sound-engineer G.F. Wade and others.

Cardboard presentation box (slightly scuffed) with printed label to box lid, housing: book, 8vo, cloth, in d/w (some light foxing), inset in card support (small tear); 2 records in sleeves. Vg.
