8vo, orig. buckram, minor chip to top edge of front board. Vg in worn d/w. From the library of Prof. Alexander James Edward Cave, (1900-2001), British anatomist, with his small ownership stamp to endpaper. Cave was Professor of Anatomy, St. Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College (1946-1967) and President of the Linnean Society (1970-1973). Also loosely inserted is a letter asking Professor Cave to review the book, and a typescript copy of Cave's review.
