First edition. This book is based upon talks given by the author, under the name 'The Zoo Man', over the radio on the BBC's 'The Children's Hour' over a period of more than ten years. David Seth-Smith (1875-1963) was a British zoologist, wildlife artist, nature broadcaster and author. He was curator of birds and mammals at London Zoo, and editor of the Bulletin of the British Ornithologists' Club and the Avicultural Magazine.
