Description:

Parts I (Papilionidae), III (Nymphalidae I (Charaxinae)), V (Nymphalidae III) + VI (Acraeidae) here bound as 'Vol. 1' in cloth with a printed d/w. Of a proposed 9 parts only 5 were published. Part II: Pieridae, Danaidae, published in 1973, is not present here. Usually found in parts, this is the first time we have seen the work bound in this way

Condition

Cloth, in d/w. Vg. Some ink annotations to part V. The margins have been trimmed during binding, partly cropping a private 'ex libris' stamp on each of the part titles. This may be a bespoke binding and d/w as we have never seen the parts bound in this way before
