A comprehensive account of the British Tortricidae sensu lato. For ease of handling, the work is divided into two volumes: Vol. 1: Tortricinae & Chlidanotinae, and Vol. 2: Olethreutinae. Each volume is self-contained and indexed separately. For each species: full taxonomy, description of the adult, account of the larval stages and life history. Up-to-date distribution maps showing vice-counties, supported with further detail where relevant. Each species is illustrated by one or more colour photographs of mounted specimens, proportionally sized. For all species, male and female genitalia drawings by Josef Razowski. Two bones of contention.
1.Such a shame that the new publishers
Brill,have changed the size of M.B.G.B.I.
Vol.5 parts 1 and 2.They did this with the Fauna Entomologica Scandinavica Volume 32 Dytiscidae.On the plus side the
binding seems to be a more robust affair!
2.One of the original principles of the series was to have a guest writer to contribute a relevant chapter.
