3 vols, 8vo, library buckram, scuffed, spines faded, orig. wrappers retained. Occasional spotting, one marginal tear repaired. Withdrawn from an institutional library, a few ink stamps, shelf labels to spine. Good. Signature of J.R. Norman to wrappers. John Roxborough Norman (1898-1944) was a British ichthyologist who worked at the British Museum (Natural History), from 1921, and served as curator of Zoology at Tring between 1939 and 1944. He wrote several works on fishes including A History of Fishes (1931).
