Lawrence (1888-1935), British archaeologist, soldier, and diplomat best known for his involvement with the Arab revolt, and the campaigns in the Arabian Peninsula against the Ottoman empire during the First World War.

8vo, orig. publisher's light brown buckram, gilt title to spine, minor bump to head of spine. Some foxing to endpapers and edges of text block. Good in worn d/w (torn with loss to head and foot of spine (repaired with brown paper to rear face), in removable protective sleeve). Contemporary pencil gift inscription to endpaper.
