Two vols (all published): Vol. I (Nos 1-4), Vol. II (Nos 5-8). Most plates by the author. James Hornell (1865-1949) was a British Zoologist who published several works on marine organisms working alongside his father-in-law, Joseph Sinel. He was the director of the Jersey Biological Station.
Condition
6 parts. 8vo, 5 parts bound in library buckram, front board detached, rear board attached by one cord, orig. part wrappers retained, some worn and repaired; Vol. II, No. 6 in orig. wrappers, loosely inserted. Withdrawn from an institutional library with a few ink stamps. Fair.
