Description:

Translated from the Polish by William R. Brand and Katarzyna Mroczkowska-Brand. Salman Rushdie described this book as 'a brilliant portrait of the last days of Haile Selassie and his maniacal, medieval court'.

Condition

Paper browned to margins. From the library of entomologist and traveller Guillaume Marie de Rougemont (1945-2020), who had a particular interest in Ethiopia - without his ownership markings, but with a few of his marginal pencil annotations. Good.
