Digitally printed, many figures are lifesize. This large book covers all species of flower beetles, subfamily Cetoniinae, found in Africa (excluding Madagascar), exept for three species which are known from type specimens only. All the known varieties are illustated in colour and all important references to each species are included.

This massive book is a must for any fancier or even specialist of beetles. But, in spite of its massive volume, it is still incomplete. For some obscure reason, the tribe Cremastocheilini has not been dealt with. As the figure "I" is written on the back, one may assume that a second volume has been planned.
