A scarce classic monograph on the fossil cephalopods (ammonites, belemnites and nautili) from the western Indian province of Kutch (Kachchh, Kachh), published in Palaeontologia Indica, New Series, Vol. IX, No. 2. Good quality collotype plates, printed by Zinco Collotype Co., Edinburgh. Leonard Frank Spath (1882-1957) was a British geologist specialising in malacology and ammonites, He was an assistant curator at the British Museum (Natural History). He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society, London in 1940 and his certificate of election refers to this 'important' work.
