Second edition. Colophon dated 1641. This volume, first published in 1621, includes cloven-hoofed quadrupeds, including, cattle, deer, pigs, antelopes, gazelles, goats, sheep, etc., and also with fine woodcuts of camels, a giraffe and a rhinoceros (the latter based on Dürer's famous woodcut of 1515).

Condition
Folio (360x240mm), cont. mottled calf boards, rebacked, raised bands to spine, new endpapers (with small window cut to show contemporary inscription on original endpaper beneath), corners restored, some scuffing. Recent tissue guards inserted between a few leaves at beginning and end; some old dampstaining (including to first 50 leaves and margins towards end). Lacks two leaves from the indexes, a2 and a5.
