New Series, first quarto (large paper) edition, complete in 3 volumes (an 8vo edition was also published). A new series, intended to supplement the original 5-volume Old Yorkshire (1881-1884), with additional information on the history of Yorkshire, her people at home and abroad, and the antiquities and curiosities of the county.
Condition
3 vols, 4to (285x225mm), orig. red cloth, stamped in black and gilt to front boards and spines, bevelled edges, teg; some wear to head/foot of spines and joints, spines darkened; hinges to Vol. I cracked but firm; endpapers foxed, occasional light spotting/foxing to text; offsetting from one plate. Good.
