Description:
Text French. Very small print run. The systematics of Eresiomera has changed little since Clench described the genus in 1965, and the numerous specimens collected in the Democratic Republic of Congo by Robert Ducarme and in Cameroon by the author have shown that it badly needs updating. Not all the problems encountered during this work could be solved, but the study of males and females genitalia and the analysis of DNA barcodes revealed the existence of several new taxa, and 11 new species are described, as well as 3 new subspecies. The genus Eresiomera therefore now includes 28 species (and 4 subspecies). It has also been shown that 25 of these species fall into the E. isca, E. rutilo and E. bicolor groups of species, but the position of the last three species, including E. michelae n. sp., is uncertain.
