Description:
Text Czech. Thanks to its location in central of Europe, the Czech flora is very rich and diverse. During the Ice Age, it was enriched by plants from the cold north, later thermophilic plants from southern Europe, and is still affected by the proximity of two large European mountain chains, the Alps and the Carpathians. Many other plants came to the region under the influence of man both intentionally and as unwanted introductions. All these plants, a total of more than 3,700 species and subspecies, are described using the latest knowledge from systematics and field botany in this new key. The determination is facilitated by excellent line drawings and a brief text with descriptions of plants and data on their distribution, the most common habitats and flowering time. The key is intended for all those interested in identifying plants, especially botanists, students, teachers and conservationists.
