Text Chinese with English summary. The Present work deals with the Empidoidea fauna of Henan. It consists of two sections, general section and taxonomic section. In the general section, the historic review of classification, morphology, classification and phylogeny, and biology of Empidoidea are introduced. In the taxonomic section, 49 genera and 183 species of empidoidea from Henan are described or redescribed. 22 species are described as new to science. Keys to the families, subfamilies, genera and species are presented. The types of new species are deposited in the Entomological Museum of China Agricultural University in Beijing
