First edition. Sir Charles Fernand Rey (1877-1968), travelled through Ethiopia a number of times in the 1920s. He was appointed Commander of the Star of Ethiopia in 1924. In this work he provides an account of his travels in Ethiopia, ‘over country in part untraversed by other Europeans, to Debra Markos and back’, it also provides a ‘ history of this fascinating country, its administration, its political questions, and the possibilities of its economic development.’
