Rare. Étienne Louis Geoffroy [1727-1810] was a French entomologist and pharmacist.

2 vols, 4to, cont. mottled calf, corners neatly restored, professional repair to head of one spine, raised bands, gilt tooling to compartments, marbled endpapers, all edges tinted red. Decorative book-plates by A.F. Schoy. Small decorative, contemporary bookseller's ticket to endpaper of Vol. 1, with inscription within cartouche reading, 'Se Vend chez Carré de la Rue Libraire Grand Place a Lille'. Short marginal tear to one leaf, repaired. A handsome set.
