This book has been written keeping in mind to collect relevant information on the role of ground beetles on biological control to insect, mites, fungus, and mollusk and weed pests of different crops, mass multiplication of some important predacious ground beetles, statistical analyses, preparation of artificial diets and their suitable application for their rearing in laboratories. The aim is to provide reasonable coverage of the subject as a whole. This is probably the first publication which may be used as hand book for identification and distribution of common species of predacious ground beetles around the world. It is hoped that this book would also be a guide book to researchers, students, teachers, extension workers and progressive farmers who are looking for information on the diverse topics of biological control.
