Text French. Edouard-Louis Trouessart (1842-1927) was a leading figure of European mammalogy. He served as director of the Natural History Museum of Angers, 1882 to 1885. Later he worked in the Museum of Natural History in Paris and became professor in 1906. This is considered one of his major works.

8vo, nicely bound in later half morrocco, leather title piece, edges speckled red, orig. wrappers retained. Withdrawn from an institutional library, a few ink stamps, shelf label to spine. Good.
