Vol. 2 with printed slip, tipped in facing the title page, stating, 'Since the grant of full autonomy to India and the separation of the Dominion of Pakistan, the title of this volume should now read: Fauna of India including Pakistan, Ceylon and Burma'.

2 vols, 8vo, orig. cloth, gt, one spine faded, one corner bumped,shelf marks to spines. Ex-lib. from an institutional library: blind stamps to title pages (inked-in) and to bottom edges of plates. Small ink stamp of later owner to title pages and endpapers. Good.
