Text German. Over 900 species of true bugs (Heteroptera) in 44 families are known from Germany. This volume contains introductory chapters which provide information for each family on biology, ecology, distribution, etc. Identificatin keys enable identification of adults to genus level (344 genera) through identification keys supplemented with clear line drawings and colour photos of living insects.

(A second part (in preparation, to be published c. 2021) will include illustrations of characteristics relevant to identification for all 850 species known from Germany, complemented by species profiles with information on the biology, ecology and threats, as well as distribution maps.)
