In Part 2, reliable coal reserve estimates are presented for the first time in the history of the field. Coal reserve data are presented and comprehensive ranges of bore-hole data and chemical analyses results. Supported by a series of plans and sections. The Preface to Part 1 states, 'This is the first Bulletin complied by the Geological Survey on the geology and mineral resources of the Collie Mineral Field, which contains the only coal seams being worked in Western Australia'.

2 parts, 8vo, Part 1: text bound in a 4to purpose-made buckram portfolio, with plates in pocket; Part 2: orig. cloth-backed boards + Supplementary Atlas in orig. card portfolio. Withdrawn from an institutional library with neat ink stamps to covers. Good.
