Description:

Text Chinese, names in Latin. Cockroaches are an ancient insect, which include cockroaches and termites in a broad sense. In a narrow sense, cockroaches usually refer only to cockroaches. They often appear in our lives as sanitary pests, such as German cockroaches, American cockroaches, and Oriental cockroaches, which are veritable 'household cockroaches'. However, these cockroaches are a minority after all. Most cockroaches live in the wild environment and act as decomposers. They are not only harmless, but also "cleaners" of nature. After 17 years of field investigation and systematic research, the author's research team has accumulated a large number of research samples of cockroaches and basically clarified the species of Chinese cockroaches. Based on these specimens and background data, it took two years to write the 'Chinese Cockroach Atlas'. This is the first colour atlas in China that systematically introduces Chinese Blattaria insects. The book contains 310 species of 7 families, 65 genera and 310 species of Blattaria in China. The included cockroach species are all accompanied by text descriptions of their characteristics, and the geographical distribution of different species is listed; different families, subfamilies and genera are all accompanied by introductions, and index tables at all levels are compiled. In order to maximize the appearance of different species, the book provides photos of the back and ventral views of most cockroaches, and attaches pictures of local characteristics and anatomical characteristics to difficult species. For species that are easier to identify, exquisite ecological pictures are also provided. The diversity of the morphology of cockroach species in my country is shown through specimens or ecological pictures, which is convenient for readers to identify and identify species. Finally, a list of Chinese cockroach insect species is also attached at the end of the book.
