Published in a limited edition of 400 copies. The Reeves collection of early nineteenth-century water-colours is one of the largest sets of natural history drawings in the British Museum (Natural History). Some 2000 animals and plants are depicted by Chinese artists under the supervision of John Reeves of Canton. Twenty selected drawings are reproduced in high quality in this volume using the collotype process.
