Description:
This is the first book of striking and highly original linocut prints by Hertfordshire-based Kate Heiss, an artist with a love of flora and fauna. She has selected a series of single-colour prints that feature birds against a backdrop of her trademark wild flowers, foliage and cultivated blooms. North Norfolk provides many of the locations, although Kate is also inspired by the wildlife observed in her garden and on her allotment. While each print uses just a single colour, there is wide variation throughout the book. Birds of a Feather is a numbered and signed limited edition of just 400 copies. Like the other books in this new series, it measures 150mm square, is printed (in the UK) on high-quality paper from responsible sources. The book covers are textured coloured paper (sapphire blue) with silver foil block inlaid type.
