He served as the Director of the National Library of Venezuela from 1913 to 1920, during which time he made significant contributions to the organization and preservation of the country's bibliographic heritage. He compiled this comprehensive and detailed bibliography of foreign books related to Venezuela and its prominent figures, particularly those published since the 19th century. The book provides critical insights into the external literary and historical perspectives on Venezuela and serves as a valuable reference for scholars of Latin American history and literature

Roy. 8vo, later red half morocco, joints rubbed, minor wear to exremities, raised bands to spine, orig. printed wrappers retained. Withdrawn from an institutional library with a few neat ink stamps. Good.
