Text French, with taxonomic notes and keys also in English. Taxonomy of the new and diverse myrmecophilous Dipteran family, Bengaliidae. The sole genus, Bengalia, formerly placed in the Calliphoridae, as a result of thourough revision based on detailed morphological study, is now shown to represent a distinct and phylogeneticallly distant family from the Calliphoridae. 4 subfamilies, 12 genera, 70 species (49 new). All species are associated with ant nests in the Afrotropical and Oriental regions
