Text French. This is the first book on the freshwater fish and crustacean species found on Réunion Island. The main features of the various aquatic habitats on Réunion are presented, together with the species found in these habitats. A history of local ichthyology and species introductions is followed by a catalogue of all species found on the island (25 fish and 10 decapod crustacea). Species descriptionis include: description, biology and ecology, distribution with map. Original photographs or drawings illustrate the species, and easy-to-use identification keys will help with species differentiation.
