Preface by S. Charlety, translated from French by E.G. Rich. Marcel Griaule (1898-1956) was a French author and anthropologist, between 1928 and 1933 he participated in two large-scale ethnographic expeditions—one to Ethiopia, which forms the basis of this work.

8vo, orig. cloth, spine slightly faded. Vg. From the library of entomologist and traveller Guillaume Marie de Rougemont (1945-2020), who had a particular interest in Ethiopia, with his bookplate. Another owner's name inked out.
