Description:

Vol. 1 was produced to coincide with the 17th World Orchid Conference 2002, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and illustrates and gives information on 401 species in 94 genera; Vol. 2 was produced to conincide with the 2011 World Orchid Conference in Singapore, and covers 402 species in 106 genera. For each species a photographic portrait of a single flower is provided, in some cases supplemented by a photo of the inflorescence and a distribution map for southeast Asia. Easy-to-read pictograms show growth habit, monthly rainfall in the area where the species occurs, flowering period, temperature and amount of sunshine preferred, and growing media.
