3 vols, large-8vo (250x185mm), orig. cloth, bevelled boards, teg. Spines slightly faded. Fore-edges of text block lightly foxed; occasional light foxing to text. Vg set. bookplate of Major-General Hugo de Pree (1870-1943). de Pree was educated at Eton College and the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, He served on the North West Frontier of India in 1897 and fought in the Second Boer War and First World War. Hugo De Pree was Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig's nephew.
