Synopsis:
The faunistic knowledge of the Chloropidae of Morocco is reviewed and updated. All new records available to the authors are given with a summary distribution of each species outside Morocco. A new species Pselaphia dimidiocera is described and keyed with all worldwide described species of this genus. The following synonyms are proposed: Oscinimorpha longirostris (Loew, 1858) = Siphonella theryi Séguy, 1946, and Oscinisoma anthracias Séguy, 1949, = Polyodaspis ruficornis (Macquart, 1835). A list of all species of Chloropidae recorded from Morocco is appended.
Six non-native species of scale insect (Hemiptera: Coccoidea) new for Belgium
By: CHRIS MALUMPHY
Page: 245-251
Type: Paper
Synopsis:
Six non-native species of scale insect (Hemiptera: Coccoidea) are recorded for the first time from Belgium. All were collected outdoors in Brussels during September 2015 and May 2016: Antonina socialis Newstead was found on ?Phyllostachys sp.; Diaspidiotus osborni (Newell & Cockerell) on Fagus sylvatica; Pseudococcus calceolariae (Maskell) on Wisteria chinensis; Saissetia oleae (Olivier) on Olea europaea; Sphaerolecanium prunastri (Boyer de Fonscolombe) on Prunus cerasifera; and Unaspis euonymi (Comstock) on Euonymus japonica. Antonina socialis is recorded from continental Europe for the first time. Enormous populations of S. prunastri and U. euonymi were found in the centre of Brussels causing severe leaf loss and dieback. Two additional non-native species, Aspidiotus nerii Bouché and Coccus hesperidum (L.), previously recorded on indoor plantings in Belgium, are reported to be breeding outdoors for the first time. The presence of Carulaspis juniperi (Bouché) in Belgium is confirmed.

Synopsis:
A study carried out from February 2013 to May 2015 investigated the mutualistic associations between aphids, parasitoids and attendant ants on different host plants in Khuzestan province, southwest Iran. A total of 15 ant species belonging to 11 genera and three subfamilies was collected from 28 host plant species in 18 families. 23 species of aphids were identified belonging to 12 genera and five subfamilies together with eight species of parasitoids in six genera from the Aphidiinae subfamily of Braconidae. The greatest number of ant species collected belonged to the subfamily Formicinae. Tapinoma simrothi Krausse, 1911, of subfamily Dolichoderinae, was the most prevalent mutualistic ant species found in association with 18 aphid species belonging to 11 genera on 19 species of host plants in five out of six regions visited. The ants were observed to protect and collect the honeydew secreted by aphids up to a distance of 32m from their nests.
